Kevin Kurtz is the author of A Day in the Salt Marsh, the children's book that was a finalist for the 2007 Green Earth Book Award, the 2008 Florida Publisher's Association Picture Book of the Year and the 2008-2009 Chickadee Award. He has a master's degree in elementary education and over a decade of experience as an environmental educator. He has taught groups of all ages about plants and animals and the ecosystems they inhabit. Kevin is available to do an author visit at your school.
